Library Hours Increase: Library hours will change to 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and remain 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday and Saturday until further notice. East Central Public Library change to 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Fridays and Saturdays. For more information, call the main library at 228-769-3060.

kids summer programs
“Tails and Tales” summer reading program will be held virtually for kids and adults during June and July! It's designed to help foster reading and discovery. Programs this year will showcase our local animal population along with research, animal health, and nature. Programs begin June 7th for adults and June 8th for kids.

Universal Class brings libraries lifelong learning courses in over 30 subject areas, many of which offer continuing education units (CEUs). More than 500 courses are available, and all are designed and led by professional instructors to build deeper understanding and mastery of subject matter.

Consistently, the Jackson-George Regional Library System has ranked as one of Mississippi's top public library systems. With our headquarters library located in Pascagoula, our system has branches in the cities and communities of East Central, Gautier, Lucedale, Moss Point, Ocean Springs, Pascagoula, St. Martin and Vancleave. More than 80 employees keep these eight branches open to the public for a total of 455 hours each week, Monday through Saturday.
