New time and day for preschool Storytime at Moss Point Library

The Ina Thompson Moss Point Library has announced a new time and day for preschool storytime on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. Parents may bring children to the first new program on April 2, at 2 p.m. in the library meeting room.

The youth programs will be coordinated with youth services assistant LaDonna Sims. She will tell stories, offer crafts, and more during the new storytime hour.

Easter Egg Hunt Storytime scheduled at Moss Point Library - Apr 5

The Ina Thompson Moss Point Library will host a special Bunny Good Time Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 5, starting at 10:30 a.m.

Parents may join in for storytime fun with stories, crafts and more and stay for the Easter Egg Hunt at 11:00 a.m.

Be sure to register children for the prize drawing after the hunt. Refreshments will be provided. This event is intended for children age one month to five years old.

Friends of the East Central Library host Easter Celebration with Easter Bunny - April 12

The Friends of the East Central Library are hosting an Easter Celebration for children and parents. The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the East Central Public Library.

Families with small children, preschool-age through 4th grade, are invited for a fun-filled time of stories about the Easter holiday.

The Friends of the Library are providing a goodie bag for all children attending. Special guest for the program will be the Easter Bunny. Parents may bring a camera to take a photo of their children and the Easter Bunny.

Friends of the Library Host Annual Easter Egg Hunt - April 17

Friends of the Lucedale-George County Public Library will host a special annual Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday, April 17, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the library.

Children age eight and under are invited to look for Easter eggs and have a fun-filled evening of stories. Parents may bring a camera to take pictures with the Easter Bunny. After the hunt, the library will have a special story-time with the kids in the library.

Easter eggs, candy and refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Lucedale-George County Public Library.

Registration for the 2012 summer reading program begins Tuesday, May 29, at all Jackson-George Regional Library System locations. The reading program for children is designed to help kids discover the pleasure of reading. This year "Dream Big: Read!" programming will let children enjoy nighttime themed adventures and enjoy the fun of reading.
